Got a Q? We got an a!
FAQ's
What is an E-Moto?
Great question! An e-moto is a new breed of off-road adrenaline machines. They are a cross between traditional dirt bikes, mountain bikes, and your favorite energy drink :)
E-moto's are lighter than traditional dirt bikes, with controls and handling similar to a mountain bike. There is no transmission, no combustion engine, no oil filter, no air box, no complicated maintenance or upkeep. Charge it, twist the throttle, and collect bugs in that big ol' smile :D
How hard is it to learn to ride?
Learning to ride an e-moto is easier than trying to keep up with all your friends that have them!
If you can ride a bike, you can learn to ride an e-moto pretty quickly. With no foot controls, transmision, gears, or clutch it is much easier to learn than a traditional dirt bike. There is a twist throttle on the right hand grip, a front brake handle on the right side of the handle bar, and a rear brake lever on the left side of the handle bar...that's it :)
I already ride dirt bikes, is it still fun for me?
Short Answer? uuhhhhh...HECK YES!
We grew up on dirt bikes and now prefer e-motos! Nothing wrong with gas bikes, but e-motos just simplify the whole thing, are lighter and easier to maneuver, easier to load, and have a ton of torque...makes you feel like a kid again :)
While e-motos are easier to learn, make no mistake, they are serious machines and serious fun. Whether you are just a beginner learning in ECO mode or an advanced rider sending it over a jump or tearing up a trail in full SPORT mode...there is room for everyone.
How do I pick the right model for me?
Great question! Our long term goal is to have a physical location in the Black Hills where you can cruise in, say hi, try them out, and see what works best for you!
For now...we suggest buying whatever model we have in stock :D
Seriously though, the LIGHT BEE X and The EX2 Pro are both great all-round bike for most riders. As we get more models in and available, we will help define which models are best for what kind of riders. Have specific questions? Don't hesitate to reach out to us!
